CHANDRA KUSUMA

Chandra is widely acknowledged for his proven specialties in financial technology, banking and finance, investment, mergers and acquisitions, and TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom), both advisory and transactional. His expertise covers key sectors in financial services industry such as multifinance, venture capital, banking, insurance, securities and private equity.

 

He leads the firm's practice group in digital economy and financial technology industries with main focus on serving clients in strategic digital economy-related sub-sectors such as, among others, Peer-to-Peer Lending and Digital Finance, Digital Banking, Buy-Now-Pay-Later (BNPL), Earned Wage Access (EWA), Payment Gateway, Remittance, E-Wallet and E-Money, Equity Crowdfunding, Insurtech, E-Commerce, Crypto Trading, Blockchain and Digital Assets, E-Logistics, Gaming, Open Finance, Embedded Finance, Aggregator, Rent-to-Own, Credit Scoring and E-KYC, etc.

 

Chandra manages fintech and digital economy projects of the firm, covering strategic legal matters requested by the clients for market entry of foreign investors into Indonesia's fintech sectors, M&A/corporate actions, debt/equity fundraising, licensing, compliance, dispute resolution, corporate affairs, public policies, corporate governance and government relations.

 

In the fintech industry, he previously held strategic senior leadership positions in several prominent digital lending companies in South East Asia, having also provided legal services to various fintech investors from ASEAN region, China, Central Asia and Europe.

 

Aside from his solid lawyering career, Chandra served as adjunct lecturer at several educational institutions such as the Faculty of Law of Trisakti University, UBS Business College, the Faculty of Economics of Trisakti University and ESMOD Fashion Design & Business School.
